We are pioneers in the Casablanca Valley, both for our wines and for our gastronomy. It all began in the year 1996 with the founding of Viña Morandé, the first winery in the Casablanca Valley. Convinced that the best way to enjoy wine is to accompany it with food, we wanted to go a step further and decided in the year 2000 to venture out and create a restaurant and store of our own, called “House of Morandé”. A magical, welcoming place, the house of Morandé, in which we receive those who seek the chance of a unique experience: to enjoy good cooking in an exceptional setting, among the vineyards of Casablanca, just 45 minutes outside Santiago.
As a reward for its good service and excellent gastronomy, House of Morandé received the prize from Wiken magazine for the “Best Restaurant in Regions” in 2005. This was thanks to the ingenious work of the chef, who takes the best of typical Chilean ingredients and combines them with his talent to obtain tasty, refined dishes, which arrive at the table in the company of the perfect wine; the latter playing a vital role.
Another of our challenges is to take our wines to your table. In the same place and at one side of the restaurant is our wine store, where you can find the best of Viña Morandé: current vintages, export wines, Morandé olive oil and collector’s item bottles that are only available in this spot. You will find not only wines but also wine accessories – gourmet products, among others.
